	Acupuncture/Dry Needling
	Dry Needling is well recognised as being particularly helpful in musculoskeletal medicine and pain management. Dry needling involves the insertion of fine sterile needles painlessly into the skin through a plastic guide tube. The acupuncture needles are solid, not hollow like other needles. Nothing is injected, hence the term ‘Dry’ Needling. Once in place the needle may cause a localised feeling of heaviness, numbness or tingling. Very tiny nerve endings which cause changes in blood chemistry and hormones, in turn reduces pain and influences healing. Our therapists have completed advanced training in the use of Dry Needling to affect muscle trigger points.
